About this wine 

La Varenne du Poirier is a single Lieu-dit located just south east of the small village Arcison. The vines are in average 20 years old and have always been farmed biodynamically. The terroir is dominated by black shale and gives a beautiful and stony minerality to the wine. The grapes are of course harvested manually and afterwards pressed in pneumatic press. Fermented and aged for 10 months in 400 litres old oak barrels. No filtration. No added sulphites. Just how we like it.
