MARTHE HENRY
Marthe Henry, ladies and gentlemen!
We have been following Marthe for four years now, and we are finally able to welcome her to our portfolio! Marthe is the granddaughter of renowned Meursault vigneron Pierre Boillot. She transitioned from a journalism career to winemaking in 2013, driven by her deep family ties and passion for viticulture. She trained at the Lycée Viticole in Beaune and gained hands-on experience working with Pierre-Henri Rougeot.
In 2017, Marthe established her own micro-négociant business in her grandparents' old house and cellar in Meursault. Her winemaking philosophy emphasizes minimal intervention, allowing wines to ferment naturally without added sulfur and undergoing extended aging of at least 18 months in used oak barrels. This approach results in wines that are pure, energetic, and expressive of their terroir—just how we like our Burgundies!
By 2023, Marthe had reclaimed portions of her family's vineyards, including plots in prestigious appellations such as Meursault Charmes and Volnay Santenots-du-Milieu. Her focus remains on crafting elegant white wines that reflect the unique characteristics of local terroirs, from Pommard to Rully.
We are very happy and proud to represent Marthe Henry—thank you for trusting us!
