About this wine

Grande Waldo is Nikolas' Cuvée made from Malvasia, Ribolla, and Tocai. The grapes are coming from his vineyards Pradis and Bosc di Sot, that was planted in 1910 and 1960. The grapes are harvested by hand, stomped by foot, not destemmed, and then macerated for 3-6 days in concrete vats. After the remaining grapes are pressed, the wine is transferred to old oak barrels to finish fermentation and age for a minimum of 11 months. Hereafter bottled and rests for another 6 months before release. These two vineyards, Pradis and Bosc di Sot, are located on some of the warmest hills in Collio, and the wine shows great dried fruit combined with a savoury and mineral finish.
